frequently
asked questions
"Do I have to be able to meet personally for meetings?
Most design processes can be completed without
having to meet face to face as all proofs and consultations
can be dealt through email. Therefore you don’t have
to live in the same country to get what you want for your
site.
"How much does a website
cost?"
There is no straight answer to this.. Its like asking - 'How
much is a new car?’ Like cars every website is different
and many factors affect the price such as the level of complexity
and the number of pages. As a guidance, 'Standard' website
works out approx £100-£150 (€150 - €200)
per page.
"How long will it take?"
Another difficult question, again it depends on many factors
but if you have a deadline, no matter how much time you do
- or don’t have - I will always try to help.
"Can I change my site
once it’s finished?"
Of course you can - any part of the site can be changed. If
you intend changing the site regularly you will need to outline
this at the start and I can discuss an appropriate package
with you.
"Will my site be number
one in Google?"
Even with my knowledge about Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
and understanding of the complexity of search engine algorithms,
I cannot (nor can anyone) guarantee you number one in any
search engine but will be happy to discuss this with you.
"Will I be able to see
how many people have visited my site?"
When designing your site a 'Hit Counter' can be incoorporated
into your site giving statistics on the number of people visiting
your site.
"How do I get my site
onto the world wide web?"
I can help you register a domain name and find a host for
your site
